Lawaschkiri are a group of five, six or seven musicians from Regensburg, who have introduced a new flavour to folk music. Their diverse repertoire includes love songs, drinking ballads and a variety of tunes from all corners of Europe.                     

This is "Power Folk" at its finest!

Regensburg’s location, on the Danube and in the heart of Europe, provides a range of inspiring musical influences for Lawaschkiri. In addition to the traditional sounds of Sweden or Spain, France or Poland, (and everything in between), they perform original compositions covering a wide range of styles.
